Service Description

A frozen waterfall snowshoe tour is the best way to explore the beautiful and picturesque landscape of Rocky Mountain National Park in the winter. Trekking beneath a canopy of snow-covered trees to a frozen cascade on the mountainside is a unique and unforgettable experience. Feel the crunch of snow under your snowshoes as we trek to the base of the falls and spend some time in the glistening sun warming up with some gourmet hot chocolate! This is a serene low impact winter activity with lots of appeal. A great tour for anyone who enjoys winter and the outdoors. What to Expect: We’ll be outdoors for approximately 4 hours in wintery conditions and will have a steady incline to the waterfall. We will take plenty of breaks for photo ops and to interpret naturalist topics on the Park. Beginners are highly encouraged to join. Where to Meet: We’ll meet in the town of Estes Park and will shuttle to the trailhead. Detailed meeting instructions will be sent in your confirmation email. What’s included: Snowshoes, gaiters, trekking poles, entrance fees, professional snowshoe guide, water and snacks, emergency shelter, first aid kit, contingency plan. What should you bring: Please prepare for the weather conditions the day of your trip. We’ll send a detailed packing list in your confirmation email.
