The Women's Backcountry Skills Clinic is designed for those who are seeking guidance on wilderness survival scenarios, who are novices to outdoor recreation, or are looking to build up or refresh their outdoor skills.
Backcountry areas pose many variable risks, so it is important to be well prepared for any type of scenario using what limited resources you have.
We will be covering topics such as:
Unwanted wildlife encounters, how to avoid them, and what action you should take if an encounter happens
Ten essentials kits, what items you need, and what each item can be used for
Emergency shelters, what types there are, and how to build one
