CHRISTIE LYNN
Lead Wilderness Guide & Outdoor Instructor
Born and raised in Colorado, Christie has been guiding backcountry hiking and paddling tours across Alaska, Utah, and Colorado since 2013.

She possesses an Outdoor Education degree and holds certifications in Wilderness First Response, Stand Up Paddleboarding Instruction, Leave No Trace Training, Interpretive Guiding, and Naturalism.
​
Christie's adventures span 15 countries, includes summiting two stratospheric volcanoes, and a solo skydive in Hawaii. She spends her free time whitewater stand up paddleboarding, backcountry hiking and car camping.
WHY DID YOU START GUIDING?
I originally went to school for secondary education but was turned on to the Outdoor Recreation program at school from a classmate. After working in Alaska for two summers for a whitewater rafting company, I dove into the program head first. My teachers' passion for the outdoors rubbed off on me and I knew I wanted to make guiding a career.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE TOURS TO GUIDE?
My favorite tours to guide are snowshoeing tours in Rocky Mountain National Park, specifically the Moonlight Snowshoe tour. There is nothing more peaceful than to be in the backcountry on a powder day, its so beautiful and mesmerizing, especially under the stars.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT GUIDING?
I love being able to take people to amazing places where I'm able to teach them about the history of the area, wildlife, ecosystem, as well as how to stay safe in the backcountry so they can feel comfortable going on their own! Nature offers so many great benefits for the mind, body and soul and I'm here to guide people through it.
Christie came highly recommended when I asked the front desk at my hotel, which guided tours would be great to do. And she was amazing, giving tips for proper gear, making sure I was comfortable about everything regarding to the hike.
